It is an encouraging call by MPs to ban expatriates over 50 (GDN, April 11). But their statement, “when expatriates reach the age of 50 they are unable to do their work”, is totally untrue.
A senior person with a good profile in a company crosses 50 when he reaches that position. Perhaps these MPs’ establishments will have expatriates above 50.
Keeping more Bahrainis in high positions is righteous, but saying that expatriates are unable to work after 50 is a controversy.
