Muscat: More flights from Oman to repatriate expats to India and Pakistan was announced.
The Indian government has decided to add five more flights to India from Oman in Phase 4 of the Vande Bharat Mission as per the following schedule.
In case of any changes, the Indian Embassy in Muscat will be making an announcement subsequently: July 10: From Muscat to Hyderabad; July 12: From Muscat to Ahmedabad; July 13: From Muscat to Bengaluru; July 15: From Muscat to Srinagar and July 16: From Muscat to Lucknow.
"As in the case of flights operated earlier under Vande Bharat Mission, passenger lists for all the above-mentioned flights will be finalised by the Embassy on the basis of information received by it," the Indian Embassy in Muscat announced in a press release, according to Times of Oman.
Special flights to Pakistan
Meanwhile, SalamAir announced that it will be operating several special flights to Pakistan in the coming days.
A statement issued online by SalamAir said, "SalamAir announces the operation of a special flight, Muscat-Karachi-Muscat on Monday, July 6."
"In addition, a flight from Muscat to Sialkot and back will be operated on Tuesday, July 7, and another flight between Muscat and Multan will be run on Wednesday, July 8," SalamAir confirmed.
"SalamAir also announces the operation of special flights which include Muscat-Islamabad-Muscat on Thursday, July 9, and between Muscat and Peshawar on Friday, July 10," the airline added.
