DUBAI: The Bahraini National Pavilion (BNP) at ‘Gitex 2020 Dubai’ has attracted about 700 visitors representing 20 countries in three days.
The visitors were introduced to the services, products, and innovations provided by 24 Bahraini companies working in the ICT sector. This year, ‘Gitex’ is the only major global tech show that is happening in-person due to the pandemic, but amid integrated precautionary measures.
The BNP at Gitex is organised for the 14th year in a row by The Bahrain Society for Technology Companies and WorkSmart for Events Management, and in a strategic partnership with labour fund ‘Tamkeen’.
Bahrain Society for Technology Companies chairman Ubaydli Ubaydli expressed his satisfaction with the turnout witnessed by the pavilion in light of Covid-19 pandemic, as visitors and exhibitors were allowed to conduct fruitful commercial negotiations and take precautionary measures into account at the same time.
“The number of visitors affirms the success of the Bahraini National Pavilion at Gitex 2020, Which represents a favourable opportunity for Bahraini exhibiting companies to promote their business, enter into commercial deals, export their products and services, and obtain exclusive agencies to represent major international technology companies in Bahrain,” said Mr Ubaydli.
WorkSmart CEO Ahmed Al Hujairy said that choosing the location of the BNP in a strategic place within the exhibition and next to major exhibitors and prominent ICT companies contributed to the increase in the number of visitors this year, in addition to the organisers’ efforts in designing the pavilion, booths, logistical support for exhibitors, and others.
