I WAS delighted to hear the news that Bahrain has been ranked the third happiest Arab country and 35th in the world, according to the World Happiness Report 2021.
It is indeed a great honour. The consistent and relentless effort of the people of Bahrain in making this kingdom home to everyone should be appreciated.
When the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, Bahrain worked very hard in ensuring the safety of its people.
Many expatriates and citizens who were affected financially were also helped by different organisations during the pandemic.
We should also thank the Health Ministry, nurses, doctors and everyone in the hospitals who worked continuously day and night taking care of the patients, and the teachers who had to put in a lot more effort when the schools switched over to online classes.
Most importantly, the government of Bahrain for introducing strict safety measures such as using gloves, masks and sanitising hands and our environs.
During the pandemic even the newspapers and various information agencies worked hard in providing information.
Being a part of this country, let’s work even harder and thank all those who have helped us find a top spot in the World Happiness Report and continue to serve this country as long as we are here as faithfully as possible just as how the kingdom has been faithful to us.
Bahrain’s achievement of 35th position in the world wasn’t easy, it required the hard work and dedication of many.
Let’s learn to be empathetic, kind and work harder to keep this country home to all who visit and all who settle here.
