MANAMA: Police directorates in Bahrain have taken action in 10,360 cases to ensure social distancing, registered 88,440 violations of not wearing masks in public places and conducted 12,056 awareness campaigns until June 16, it has been revealed.
The Interior Ministry said yesterday that it is continuing its law enforcement campaigns to stop violations of precautionary measures against Covid-19.
The ministry also highlighted the importance of following the procedures and instructions of the National Taskforce to Combat Covid-19 by staying at home, wearing masks and keeping the social distance.
The General Directorate of Civil Defence carried 330,510 disinfection operations of government buildings and roads and conducted training for 2,238 individuals in the private and public sector, it said.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the National Ambulance Centre has dealt with 16,927 virus-related cases through a specialised team, and the Transportation Directorate have transferred 103,009 cases.
