A DIGITAL national cyber platform aimed at serving health facilities will be launched later this year.
The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) is stepping up efforts to inaugurate the online hub (nhra.bh.munshaat).
The planned platform will provide all NHRA-run regulatory and oversight services to health establishments.
“This system includes many services, including licensing a new facility or branch, changing the classification of the facility, adding a service, transferring ownership, changing the address, changing the name, and closing the facility or one of its branches,” said NHRA chief executive Dr Mariam Al Jalahma.
Health facilities will also be able to use the platform to renew facility services and joint services, change facility capacity or renew the licence contact information for the first time.
Monitor
The e-system will allow the allocation of a special page for each health institution to be able to follow up the inspection reports and correct any violations monitored during the inspection, as well as to ensure the validity of the licences of all their employees and the medical devices available in the facility.
Dr Al Jalahma highlighted NHRA’s rapid measures to step up digital shifts in co-operation with other government agencies, particularly the Information and e-Government Authority and the Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry (Sijilat system), to implement national plans and visions in this regard.
“The electronic shift aims to develop the quality and efficiency of services, streamline procedures and facilitate access to services,” said Dr Al Jalahma, adding that the process is consistent with the national digital transformation.
