MANAMA: stc Bahrain has renewed its partnership with Etijah Bahrain for the second edition of its virtual summer internship programme.
In this edition, the programme will host 13 students who will receive training using educational material, personalised engagement sessions, projects and assignments specifically designed to build key skills required by the job market.
Over the course of eight weeks, each intern will get more than 40 hours of one-to-one coaching and mentorship sessions with a certified coach.
The partnership is part of stc Bahrain’s corporate social obligations to develop and grow Bahrain’s talent pool.
“We are dedicated to fostering the next generation workforce. It is critical to the socio-economic growth of Bahrain where there is a strong investment and focus on building stronger talent for future,” stc Bahrain’s chief human resources officer Sara Khonji said.
Since stc’s inception in 2010 over 63,000 hours have been provided that have enabled university students in their final year to attain real-time knowledge and short work experience around their core academic subjects and complete their required credits.
Etijah Coaching and Consulting managing director Dina Shabib said: “We are extremely pleased to run the stc summer internship programme for the second time in Bahrain, after the successful run last year.”
