MEMORABLE photographs of His Royal Highness the late Premier Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa are portrayed in an annual calendar being sold to support a Bahraini museum dedicated to ancient Islamic texts.
The calendars have been issued by Beit Al Quran in Manama and feature iconic pictures of the late Premier who passed away on November 11 last year.
Museum director Asraf Al Ansari said the topic of the 2022 calendar – titled “In memory of Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa may he rest in peace” – was chosen to commemorate the late Premier’s achievements.
“The late Premier has spared no efforts to support Beit Al Quran and this is just a small token of appreciation to commemorate his contribution and his memory,” he told the GDN.
“This is the least we can do to show appreciation as this is a calendar with 12 pictures but he will remain in the hearts of the entire community for eternity.”
Meanwhile, Beit Al Quran founder and executive chairman Dr Abdul Latif Kanoo highlighted that the late Premier was among the most important personalities who was distinguished by his generosity and achievements.
“Prince Khalifa always interacted with a purpose as he studied and implemented useful ideas in many fields of life and the development of the country,” he stated.
“He built a personal relationship with people from all walks of life and was a spark of productive activity for the kingdom of Bahrain.
“He was able to establish and consolidate bonds of affection, brotherhood and cohesion between brothers in the GCC countries and the Arab countries as well as friends across the world.
“He was well-known across the GCC, the region and the world due to his influential position in world-wide events, his active participation in decision making and as a result of his personal and official visits all over the world.”
Two versions of the new calendar – a wall calendar and a desk calendar – along with greeting cards are available at Beit Al Quran.
