CITIZENS and residents can now receive their booster shots across Bahrain’s health centres without an appointment, the Health Ministry announced last night.
Individuals holding a yellow shield on the “BeAware” application can head directly to any health centre to receive their Covid-19 booster jab from today, between 7.30am and 5pm. They must bring their yellow-coloured vaccination booklets with them.
The Sinopharm booster is available at Shaikh Salman Health Centre, the National Bank of Bahrain Health Centre in Arad, Isa Town Health Centre, Jidhafs Health Centre, East Riffa Health Centre, Jaw and Askar Centre, Muharraq Health Centre, Ibn Sinna Health Centre, Budaiya Coastal Clinic, Zallaq Centre and Hamad Town Health Centre.
The Sputnik V booster shot is available at Halat Bu Maher Health Centre and Covishield-AstraZeneca at Al Hoora Health Centre and Ahmed Ali Kanoo Health Centre.
Meanwhile, the Pfizer-BioNTech booster is available at the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait Health Centre in Hidd, Bilad Al Qadeem Health Centre, Yousif Abdulrahman Engineer Health Centre, Sitra Mall, Sitra Health Centre, Hamad Kanoo Health Centre, Shaikh Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah Health Centre, NBB Health Centre in Dair, Sabah Al Salem Health Centre, Al Naim Health Centre, A’ali Health Centre, Kuwait Health Centre and Budaiya Health Centre.
l Bahrain yesterday recorded 23 new Covid-19 cases and 24 recoveries. Of the new cases, 11 were expat workers, nine contacts of local cases and three travel related. An additional 24 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 275,614. It reported 239 active cases. Bahrain has so far registered 277,246 cases and conducted 7,159,330 tests.
