Gulf nationals alleged to have been involved in a mighty melee in Seef District have been arrested by the Capital Governorate Police Directorate following an investigation after a video of the ugly rumpus circulated online.
Legal action was taken against the suspects and proceedings have also commenced involving a case of damaged property during the same altercation on Saturday.
A video circulating on social media showed a group of men fighting in a parking lot. A woman was also seen smashing a rock through the window of a parked car.
“Necessary measures were taken following an investigation into the two incidents,” said the Capital Governorate Police Directorate in an official statement.
“The parties involved in the brawl were identified as Gulf nationals.
“Legal measures are being taken in preparation to referring both cases to the Public Prosecution.”
