Saudi Arabia’s Citizen Account Programme has announced that it has deposited a total of SR1.8 billion ($480 million) into the accounts of 10.3 million beneficiaries in the month of April.
With an average support of SR1,065 per household, 76 per cent of beneficiaries have received full benefits, programme director general of communications Abdullah Al-Hajri revealed.
Launched to protect Saudi households from the kingdom's direct, indirect and expected impacts of the economic reforms, the national scheme takes into account age, household monthly income and the number of people living in a property.
