A group of BDF Royal Guard Cavalry, led by Protocol and Cavalry Group Commander Colonel Shaikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Khalifa, took part in Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
National Guard Adviser and Royal Guard Commander Major General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa directed the BDF cavalry to take part in the parade.
The move reflects deep-rooted friendship and steadily-growing co-operation across all fields between Bahrain and the UK in the era of His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander.
The performance, presented by the BDF Royal Guard Cavalry, reflected their high skills and elaborate training, and won high praise from the crowd.
It also reflected Bahrain’s keen interest in the equestrian sport and purebred Arabian horses, stemming from the rich Arab heritage and well-established traditions.
