On this glorious day of Independence, Pakistan School wishes all its fellow compatriots in Bahrain a Happy Independence Day.
On this day the school remembers the great sacrifices of martyrs who laid down their lives for a free Pakistan.
It was in the 1960s that leading visionary members of the community realised the need for a schooling system for their children.
It led to the establishment of a small primary school in 1968 in a rented building in the Fariq Fadil area of Manama.
After a few years, the school was upgraded to secondary level education following its affiliation with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
In 1984, Pakistan School’s new campus was constructed in Isa Town, which was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and then First Deputy Premier.
Two new blocks, Jinnah Block and Sir Sayed Block, were constructed at the Isa Town campus between 1994 and 1995.
Today, Pakistan School has two wings – the primary campus in Manama and the main campus in Isa Town.
Besides Pakistanis, the school is delivering education to more than 2,000 students from 20 different nationalities.
Pakistan School has laid down a well-defined and practical network of extra and co-curricular activities for the personality and character building of students.
These are conducted on inter-class, inter-house and inter-school levels and Pakistani students have been performing well in sports, co-curricular and cultural activities.
Under the loyal, competent and dedicated leadership of the current board of management, Pakistan School has achieved many distinctive landmarks over the last five years in academic and administrative areas.
Pakistan School’s Federal Board results have shown consistent improvement over the last five years and this year’s board exam results of SSC declared in the first week of August 2022, are no exception.
Outstanding results for the session 2022 are as follows:
•Aisha Tariq secured the first position with 1080 marks out of 1100 at 98 per cent.
•Shahzadi Eman, claimed the second position by securing 1069 out of 1100 with 97 per cent.
•M Hamza Saleem, secured the third position by securing 1055 out of 1100 with 95.91 per.
Overall, 22 students received ‘A+’ while the same number of students received an ‘A’.
It is noteworthy that these examinations were conducted after three years by the Federal Board due to Covid-19.
While schools conducted classes inconsistently due to the fluctuating and uncertain situations brought about by the pandemic, Pakistan School maintained an uninterrupted quality of education despite the challenges by devising various strategies that proved highly effective.
Apart from academic achievements, the school’s financial status is now reliable and stable and the system has been fully automated to enhance performance in the spheres of academics, administration and student data compilation.
Solid academic planning and performance have led to an increase in admissions resulting in the setting up of additional facilities and construction of new classrooms.
Students who excel in board exams are awarded scholarships, while the school spends thousands of dinars on fee concessions to support financially weak students.
The sole aim of Pakistan School is to create a new generation, inculcating in them qualities needed to become visionaries in leading their country in the future.
The 75th Pakistan Independence Day celebrations are being planned at the school premises with great enthusiasm and an unrelenting spirit of patriotism.
We earnestly pray for the safety of all Bahraini citizens and residents and wish the Kingdom of Bahrain a very happy and prosperous future.
