The supposed "delivery man", however, turned out to be an office worker who enjoyed climbing in various delivery uniforms.
The man, identified as Umanami Futoshi, regularly dresses up in delivery uniforms while carrying delivery bags filled with various equipment and necessities for his hike.
According to Umanami's profile on Yamap, a Japanese social media platform for outdoor adventure, he likes "to deliver surprises and smiles to the summit". The platform lets Umanami share his hiking data, including how long and how far he hiked, and a map and timeline showing where he stopped and where he hiked.
