His Majesty King Hamad has directed ministries and government agencies to provide all facilities necessary to ensure the success of the national elections to be held next month.
Chairing the weekly Cabinet meeting, he thanked Shura Council members and MPs for the five legislative terms.
He praised the spirit of responsibility that marked their tenures, which contributed to many achievements through co-operation and joint action between executive and legislative branches.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, attended.
The King commended Bahrain’s development strides which supported state institutions and the rule of law and enhanced popular participation in decision-making.
He lauded the government’s work, led by HRH Prince Salman, that further supported development to achieve citizens’ aspirations.
His Majesty valued national initiatives that fostered excellence, boosted determination and reflected Bahrainis’ resilience and resolve to achieve and progress, directing the government to continue efforts for more achievements.
The King expressed pride in his recent visit to Saudi Arabia, and updated the Cabinet about its outcomes, as well as his meetings with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The Cabinet congratulated Prince Mohammed bin Salman on his appointment as Prime Minister, wishing him continued success in bringing about more accomplishments to Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of King Salman.
The King also welcomed the upcoming historic visit of Pope Francis to Bahrain at his invitation and in appreciation of the kingdom’s status as an oasis of coexistence. He affirmed Bahrain’s keenness to foster values of tolerance and pluralism and promote global peace.
He congratulated the people of Bahrain, Arab and Islamic nations on the anniversary of Prophet Mohammed’s birthday, wishing them many happy returns and further progress and prosperity.
The King paid tribute to Bahrain’s teachers, and noted their outstanding role in imparting knowledge.
“The nation values teachers’ devotion and pivotal role in the country’s progress,” he said, congratulating all teachers on occasion of World Teachers’ Day, annually observed on October 5.
HRH Prince Salman extended to the King, on behalf of the government, deepest thanks and gratitude for appreciating its role in the kingdom’s comprehensive development process.
He asserted that royal appreciation is a great responsibility that requires everyone to work as one team to translate the King’s aspirations for the nation and citizens into reality.
He instructed ministries and government departments to immediately implement the King’s directives to harness their potential and provide all facilities to ensure that the upcoming elections are held smoothly in a fair and transparent manner.
