His Majesty King Hamad yesterday issued a royal decree appointing Kareema Mohammed Abdulla Al Abbasi as secretary-general of the Shura Council, with the rank of under-secretary.
UAE ties boost
Deputy Premier and Infrastructure Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa yesterday received UAE Ambassador Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Shaikh Khalid stressed Bahrain’s keenness to continue building on the achievements of co-operation with the UAE.
He praised the UAE’s role to strengthen the pillars of global and regional peace and stability.
They discussed latest developments regionally and internationally, in addition to topics of common interest.
