LULU Group has signed an agreement with Dallah – the organisers of the much-awaited Bahrain Comic Con – as key sponsors.
The agreement was signed by LuLu Group director Juzer Rupawala and Dallah managing partners Khalid Bukhari and Salman Bukhari.
Special offers and the latest games will be part of the hypermarket operator’s presence at the gamers’ gathering scheduled for October 28 and 29 at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).
“The Bahrain Comic Con is a very popular platform and we are delighted to support it,” said Mr Rupawala on the occasion.
“This is an event that brings together people and revs up Bahrain’s tourism potential.”
The third edition of the popular event is being held under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and is expected to draw more than 25,000 attendees, according to organisers Dallah Promotions.
American actor Aimee Garcia, known for her roles in Dexter and Lucifer is set to appear at the much-awaited event.
The Bahrain Comic Con was last held in the kingdom in 2019, and featured guests including David Harbour, Alison Sudol and Pom Klementieff.
This year will see the popular convention return for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic forced its cancellation in 2020.
As in previous years, the convention will also feature the Artist Alley, cosplay competitions as well as local vendors highlighted in front of a global audience.
International exhibitors, including Hollywood movie studios and video game companies, will also be taking part.
