HIGH-END fashion items will be on display today at Zawaya Expo 2022 opening at The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain.
Dubai’s fashion and lifestyle lounge, the Posh Rack, will be featured during the three-day exhibition being held under the patronage of Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad Al Khalifa.
Curated by Shefali Munshi, the artistically curated event is set to include more than 15 designers pop-ups in addition to 10 designers showcasing their collections ranging from fashion, jewellery, and lifestyle products in a trendy setting.
Designers taking part in the Posh Rack include Designs by Juhi Khan, Flower Child by Shaheen, Lajwanti, Naila Noorani Jewellery, Taropa and the Boozy Button.
The home-grown UAE brand has had multiple shows across the world and is set to celebrate its fifth year and 21st fashion and lifestyle pop-up in Bahrain.
Bold brand Flower Child by Shaheen Abbas is set to feature handcrafted collections which include an unconventional touch with elements like mismatched earrings and finely crafted contemporary jewellery showcasing innovative textures and silhouettes.
Designer Shaheen Abbas has spent two decades in the industry aiming to make women feel glamorous during every single day of their lives.
Meanwhile, Naila Noorani – another jewellery connoisseur – will display her collection of individual pieces inspired by her South Asian heritage in addition to pieces that invoke ‘old world luxury and charm aesthetically refined to meet the tastes of the modern woman’.
High-quality embroideries – incorporating gara silk thread work – will be on display as the collection called Taropa by Archana Bhushan.
Meanwhile, unique prints on dresses, tops, and other items will be showcased as part of the display by the Boozy Button.
A creative blend of styles, Designs by Juhi Khan, will also display fashion items inspired by Western influence and blended with Indian textiles and styling.
Finally, Pakistan’s leading fashion luxury label – Lajwanti – will also display Pakistani bridal and fusion couture combining heritage and modernity infused in their designs.
“The current crop of kids is sharp and driven and I admire that,” said Ms Munshi, Selecte Global Experiences founder and director, in a previously published interview.
“I just want to tell them that perseverance is a trait that I have valued most in life.
“Everything becomes palatable as long as you have that and it comes in very handy if you want to follow your dreams and see them come true.”
The exhibition runs until Saturday in Al Ghazal Ballroom from 10.30am to 9.30pm.
