New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani went viral after he was seen wearing an Arsenal-themed kurta as he attended Eid Al-Adha prayers in the Bronx on Wednesday (May 27).
A kurta is a traditional, loose-fitting, collarless shirt or tunic.
Mamdani, who was elected as the Mayor of New York late last year, is a vocal Arsenal supporter and has been spotted regularly at New York-based supporters' groups for the club.
Arsenal recently won their first Premier League title in more than two decades, much to the delight of their fans. The club is also in the final of the UEFA Champions League on Saturday, where they have to beat defending champions PSG to win the trophy.
