A SET of four commemorative stamps has been issued by Bahrain Post in celebration of National Day, drawing inspiration from the National Action Charter monument for its theme.
In the corner of each stamp is a portrait of His Majesty King Hamad, and each stamp features the monument with varying lighting.
“Bahrain Post chose the National Action Charter and its impressive monument as the subject of its new issue because of its national and timeless importance,” the organisation announced on the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry social media.
“The monument has been highlighted for its unique architecture as well as the names of more than 220,000 citizens who participated in the charter referendum process. It remains a historical witness to the voting process that moved the country forward towards development and inspires the spirit of loyalty, determination and patriotism for generations to come.”
The set consists of four stamps valued at 500fils of postage each. There is also a special first-day edition pack of the four stamps available for BD2.500 each. These can be purchased at the Post Museum in Manama as well as all Bahrain Post branches.
