A MAN fined BD3,000 for running an illegal pharmacy out of his clinic has lost his final appeal, reports Noor Zahra.
The Lebanese defendant was found guilty of illegally working as a pharmacist, selling medicines and pharmaceuticals without the facility being registered with the National Health Regulatory Authority, and managing an unauthorised pharmacy.
The man, who owned the clinic in Manama, was found guilty by the Lower Criminal Court in September last year, and fined.
He lodged an appeal against his conviction at the High Criminal Appeals Court which rejected it in October last year.
The Cassation Court upheld the ruling yesterday.
