A PROPOSAL to grant overtime payments for public servants, instead of compensatory days, has been struck down by the government.
Parliament and Shura Council Affairs Minister Ghanim Al Buainain told MPs in writing that while the government appreciated MPs’ intentions, it had to reject the plan as it was financially unviable in the current economic situation .
