ALBA has recorded 35 million safe working hours without a Lost Time Injury – reaffirming the world’s largest aluminium smelter’s position as safety leader, both regionally and globally.
The milestone achievement was announced at the annual majlis hosted at the company’s premises in Askar yesterday.
Several senior company officials and employees were in attendance.
“Thirty-five million safe working hours is a ground-breaking achievement in the global aluminium industry,” said Alba chief executive Ali Al Baqali.
“This milestone is a testament to the thousands of moments of mindful action, the collective responsibility embraced wholeheartedly by each and every member of our dedicated workforce and the power of a shared vision for a safer tomorrow.”
Alba’s foundational ‘Safety First’ culture is strengthened by dedicated Safety Campaigns, comprehensive in-house training programmes, weekly centralised Safety Talks and active shop-floor engagement by Alba’s executives.
