BAHRAIN’S delegation, led by Sustainable Development Minister and Bahrain Economic Development Board chief executive Noor Al Khulaif and Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, successfully concluded a two-day strategic visit to Malaysia.
The visit aimed to deepen economic ties, foster investment opportunities, and explore collaboration between the two countries.
On the first day, the delegation met Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, and other prominent Malaysian officials.
On the second day, the delegation held ministerial meetings with Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, Malaysia’s Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI), which leads the country’s industrial transformation and oversees investment and trade policy development.
MITI plays a key role in shaping Malaysia’s economic development, supporting its shift towards digitisation, advanced technology, and sustainability. The visit also included a meeting with Datuk Ewon Benedick, Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives.
The delegation’s visit to Malaysia marked an important step in strengthening bilateral relations. Discussions over the two days identified shared opportunities and areas for collaboration and knowledge exchange across key sectors, in line with Team Bahrain’s wider efforts to attract investment, support innovation, and advance sustainable development.
