The Twilight novels, written by Stephanie Meyer, are in their initial development stage at Lionsgate TV to be turned into a series.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, which first broke the news, Sinead Daly - producer of 'Tell Me Lies' - is writing the script for the Twilight project. Despite all this, it is still uncertain whether the potential mega-hit series is going to be an exact representation or a different take on Meyer's novels. Meyer is reportedly involved in the making of the TV series, however, a Lionsgate TV spokesperson declined to give any clarifications.
Published annually from 2005 through 2008, Twilight was a series of four fantasy romance novels that readers around the globe enjoyed thoroughly, eagerly waiting for a new sequel each time. The books documented Bella Swan's fierce love story with Edward Cullen - a vampire. Much to the longing of readers, Meyer released Midnight Sun in 2020, which described the events of the first book, Twilight, but through Edward's perspective.
The novels inspired the multi-billion dollar Twilight Saga films, released by Summit Entertainment from 2008 to 2012. The actors playing the main characters in the movie series - Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner - shot to fame worldwide.
