MP Mohammed Al Maarafi has submitted a draft law to Parliament to exempt low-income people from paying taxes.
He said every Bahraini person whose monthly salary is below BD600 belongs to the low-income category.
It is the legislative authority’s duty to ensure stability of the financial and economic situation of citizens and exempt low-income earners from paying taxes, he said, reports our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.
