Bahrain has imported about 21,000 tonnes of red and white meat over the past three months (February-April), to meet local demand. Ships carrying up to 50,000 sheep, 2,000 cows and 120 camels docked in Bahrain during the period, said assistant under-secretary for animal wealth Dr Ibrahim Youssef .
