The Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP) announced today that it has launched a beta version of Data Saudi, an online platform that aims to be the consolidated reference for socioeconomic data for Saudi Arabia.
The platform combines and integrates data points from trusted local and global sources, providing users with a better understanding of the economic landscape in the Kingdom. The ministry said it shall facilitate, through Data Saudi and in collaboration with other government entities, access to socioeconomic and sectoral data, and enhance transparency about the national economy, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
The platform will include key economic and social indicators. Users will also have the option to analyze the indicators at national and regional levels.
The Ministry of Economy and Planning said it will work to develop the platform further by expanding data coverage to encompass diverse economic sectors. The ministry is also working to incorporate more advanced and interactive visualization techniques, and to offer periodical publications with professional commentaries.
