Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa has issued an edict stipulating that a government employee will retire at the age of 60 by a decision from the competent authority unless he or she explicitly requests to continue working until the age of 65. The competent authority can approve the employee’s request according to the work need and after an approval by the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) .
