TENNIS – BAHRAIN national tennis team player Ahmed Al Sayed received a development grant from the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF), awarded to players who have advanced in the continental rankings at the end of each season in recognition of their outstanding performances.
This grant comes after an impressive 2025 for Al Sayed, marking an honourable achievement for the sport in the kingdom and reflecting the youngster’s great efforts and commitment in the past campaign.
Bahrain Tennis Federation (BTF) president Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al Khalifa and BTF vice-president Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa presented the ATF grant to Al Sayed at the BTF headquarters.
On this occasion, Shaikh Abdulaziz expressed his pride in Al Sayed, and added that this success aligns with the BTF’s strategy and objectives aimed at developing young talent and cultivating a generation of players capable of competing at the Asian and international levels.
For his part, Shaikh Khalid praised the advanced technical level Al Sayed has demonstrated, and stressed the BTF’s continued support for Bahrain’s aspiring young players.
Al Sayed relayed his delight in receiving the grant and affirmed that it is a great incentive to continue working and developing.
He thanked Shaikh Abdulaziz and Shaikh Khalid for their continued support and constant attention, and noted that it constitutes an important incentive to achieve even greater successes at all levels.
