Abu Dhabi: Sharjah Businesswomen Council chairperson Amira bin Karam was laid to rest in Sharjah.
The thirty-eight-year-old leading Emirati businesswoman was killed when fire gutted her house in the Al-Qadissiya district of Sharjah.
Her 57-year-old mother Badriya and sister Sama, aged 40, who also died in the fire, were buried in the same cemetery.
UAE Culture, Youth and Community Development Minister Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan were among thousands of people who attended the funeral.
Her thirty-two-year-old brother Khalid who survived the blaze, is said to be in stable condition at the Al-Qasimi hospital.
