Four fishermen were arrested and had their boat seized by the Coastguard for using illegal trawling fishing nets.
The Interior Ministry announced this in a statement, noting that their dhow was seized in Fasht Al Jarim.
Legal procedures have been completed and the case has been referred to Public Prosecution.
The Coastguard also issued a reminder to seafarers to follow maritime rules and laws, including adhering to fishing bans, using only legally permitted tools and avoiding overfishing in order to protect natural reserves.
