Authorities in Egypt sprung into action after a video of a teacher conducting a class for high school students in a sports stadium went viral.
On Sunday evening, the Youth and Sports Ministry issued a statement regarding the video clip of a teacher who rented Dr Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall in 6th of October City to give the final review of geology to students on Sunday morning.
The statement issued by the ministry confirmed the suspension of the sports hall officials, who failed to follow the rules and regulations of the Youth and Sports Ministry, until the investigation is complete.
The viral video, capturing the first incidence of its kind in Egypt where a class is conducted in a sports stadium, has left many social media users appalled and stupefied.
Dr Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall hosted the 2021 World Men's Handball Championship.
