New footage has emerged showing the chaotic moments leading up to a police officer being filmed kicking and stamping on a man’s head at Manchester Airport.
The video, obtained by the Manchester Evening News, reveals a confrontation escalating rapidly. Initially, officers are seen attempting to subdue one man when a second individual intervenes. A brawl ensues, with punches flying, and two officers are knocked to the ground.
The newly released clip shows the man in light blue, who was initially detained, breaking free from an officer’s grip. He then launches a series of attacks on both female officers, striking them repeatedly in the head and face. One officer is knocked unconscious by the force of the blows before both suspects are subdued and arrested.
The officer who was later captured on video stamping on a man’s head is now facing disciplinary action from the force and is under investigation for assault by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
