CRICKET – A CELEBRATORY atmosphere filled the Mukta A2 Cinemas as the Bahrain national team were honoured for their triumphant victory in the Yalla Shabab tournament held in Kuwait as a part of the ICC Asia Cricket Week.
The event was graced by Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) chairman Michael Nuwagaba and UCA secretary Jackson Kavuma.
The Ugandan cricket leaders extended their heartfelt congratulations to the Bahraini team.
“Cricket is more than just a game; it is a platform to build character and serve your nation,” said Nuwagaba, emphasising the sport’s role in nation-building.
Kavuma echoed these sentiments, highlighting the importance of teamwork and national pride.
Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF) advisory board chairman Mohammed Mansoor expressed his admiration for the team’s dedication. “True champions play for the badge on their chest, not the name on their back,” he said.
The event served as a testament to the growing strength of cricket in Bahrain and the deepening ties between the two nations. Both countries expressed their commitment to fostering a strong cricketing partnership and elevating the sport to new heights.
