The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (Asry) welcomed a group of Lamea Junior programme participants for a tour of its facilities.
The visit provided an opportunity for the young participants to learn about Asry’s operations, development stages, and competitive capabilities.
The programme included introductory sessions highlighting various professional specialties and showcased the success stories of Asry’s national competencies. A tour of the shipyard’s facilities and repair docks concluded the visit.
The purpose of the visit was to introduce the participants to the diverse career opportunities offered by Asry and to emphasise the importance of education in developing a skilled workforce.
Asry’s corporate communications manager Fatema Al Majed stated: “The visit aligns with Asry’s commitment to supporting and guiding the youth. We introduced the participants to the shipyard’s crucial role in national development as a global maritime leader with advanced capabilities and qualified national cadres.”
Lamea Junior is a smaller version of the Lamea national project, designed for 12-15-year-olds to participate in training activities that develop leadership and life skills.
