GYMNASIADE – HIGH-ranking officials involved in the organisation of the ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 received UAE General Sports Authority (GSA) sports development sector executive director Shaikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum.
Shaikh Suhail was welcomed upon his visit to the new headquarters of the Gymnasiade’s executive committee in Seef.
Bahrain’s GSA chief executive Dr Abdulrahman Askar was among those who received Shaikh Suhail and his accompanying delegation, as was executive committee chairman Ali Issa and a number of other committee heads involved in the Gymnasiade.
They gave a brief explanation of the efforts being made to host the prestigious multi-sport event, which will be taking place from October 23 to 31 under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad.
The ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 is under the International School Sport Federation (ISF). There will be young athletes from 80 countries around the world competing in more than 20 different sports.
Over a dozen sites across Bahrain are being allocated as venues for games as well as for special cultural and educational programmes that will be held for the kingdom’s visiting guests.
