BODYBUILDING – BAHRAIN is set to host the 24th Arab Bodybuilding Championship for Men on December 5 and 6 at Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Hall in the University of Bahrain premises in Sakhir.
The event will also feature a bodybuilding competition for juniors and another conetst for physique and classic physique.
Bahrain Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (BBFF) president Sami Al Haddad confirmed that the BBFF is stepping up its preparations for the event.
He said that the kingdom’s hosting of the championships follows its successful staging of West Asian and Gulf events last year.
The BBFF discussed the possibility of having the meeting in Bahrain with Arab Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness president Eng Adel Fahim El Sayed, who is also the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) executive assistant to the president and IFBB area vice-president for Africa. Eng El Sayed welcomed the idea and expressed his approval and support for holding the championship in Bahrain.
The agreement was then signed in June of this year, in the presence of Eng El Sayed.
Al Haddad expressed his appreciation to the General Sports Authority and Bahrain Olympic Committee for their support of the upcoming events.
