Formula 1 star driver Oscar Piastri of constructors' world champions McLaren has showcased a special “Two seas” edition helmet at the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities announced.
The design blends elements from the rich Bahraini and Japanese heritages, celebrating the deeply rooted maritime connections between the two archipelagos, said the authority.
Piastri used the helmet, produced and designed in Bahrain, during today’s first two F1 practice sessions in Suzuka.
Following Sunday’s race, the helmet will be displayed at the Bahrain Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, the authority noted.
