In line with directives issued by the Boards of Directors of Bapco Energies and Bapco Refining, an independent investigation consultant has been formally appointed to lead the investigation into the incident that occurred on Friday 2 May 2025, at the Bapco Refining complex. The incident, which involved process safety equipment, resulted in two fatalities and one critical injury .
