The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) at the Interior Ministry has announced exceptional procedures regarding visit visas in light of the current circumstances and the recent Iranian aggression against Bahrain, which has resulted in the cancellation or suspension of several flights.
NPRA Under-Secretary Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa explained that holders of all types of visit visas currently in Bahrain, whose permitted stay expired on or after February 28, 2026, will be exempt from overstay fines for an additional month after the reopening of the kingdom's airspace.
He further clarified that the validity of visit visas that were active until February 28, 2026, will be extended for an additional three months for visitors currently outside Bahrain who applied for their visas before that date but were unable to enter due to the exceptional circumstances.
The NPRA affirmed its commitment to facilitating travel for passengers and taking these exceptional conditions into account, urging the public to follow official channels for further updates.
