A significant reduction has been recorded in Bahrain’s housing waitlist, with the number of families waiting for government homes falling to 47,624 by the end of 2024 – down from 57,198 at the end of 2022, marking a 17 per cent decrease.
The announcement came during a high-profile parliamentary debate on housing policies, which also saw heated exchanges between legislators over the pace of service delivery .
