PADEL – Public Security Chief Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan attended the conclusion of the Interior Ministry Padel Championship, organised by the Public Security Sports Association at the Padel Arena in Sanad.
The championship saw the participation of more than 100 male and female players from the ministry.
On the occasion, the Public Security Chief praised the directives of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to support sporting activities for enhancing cooperation and discipline among ministry personnel. He noted the importance of sports in improving physical fitness.
He also commended the efforts of the Public Security Sports Association in organising the event, commending the high technical level witnessed in the tournament and the sportsmanship displayed by the participants. He expressed thanks to everyone who contributed to the tournament’s success through the excellent organisation and preparation.
For his part, Public Security Sports Association president Colonel Khalid Abdulaziz Al Khayat expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Public Security Chief for his continued support, stressing that the tournament is part of the association’s plan to enhance the physical capabilities of Public Security personnel and promote the concept of sports as a way of life.
At the conclusion of the event, Lt Gen Tariq Al Hassan honoured the winners. In the male officers’ category, first place was achieved by Major Staff Abdulrahman Nabil Shuwaiter and Captain Moaz Abdulrahman Al Muaili, while second place was claimed by Major Abdulrahman Mahmoud Shahab and Captain Khalil Salman Al Jazzaf.
In the female officers category, the first place went to Major Reem Yousef Al Hashemi and Captain Mai Yaqoub Al Khal, while Major Staff Maryam Najib Al Ansari and Major Fatima Ali Al Zaabi claimed the second position.
In the individual and civilian category, Salah Al Din Al Qattan and Mohammed Essam Abdel Aal won first place, while Khalid Mohammed Al Moussawi and Alvaro Alfonso won the second place.
