His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa; His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister; and His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the SCYS, on the Bahrain national men’s volleyball team winning the title at the 5th Asian Men’s Volleyball Nations Cup 2025 (AVC) for the first time.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad highlighted that this achievement is the result of the support and patronage of His Majesty the King for Bahraini sport, and is a testament to the prominent status Bahraini volleyball has attained on the continental stage.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad commended the players for their dedication and commitment, which enabled them to claim the top position in Asia with merit and distinction, also commending the role of the technical and administrative staff and the unwavering support of the Bahraini fans.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad expressed great pride in the national volleyball team’s impressive performance, noting that their achievements have highlighted their talent and elevated Bahrain’s reputation internationally. He also noted the efforts of the Bahrain Volleyball Association, led by Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, and wished them ongoing success in future competitions.
