HIS Majesty King Hamad expressed delight and pride at the Bahrain national volleyball team’s historic victory in the AVC Men’s Volleyball Nations Cup 2025, praising the significant efforts of Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in ensuring optimal conditions for the achievement.
The King also extended his congratulations to the president and members of the Bahrain Volleyball Association, the players, coaching and administrative staff, and the Bahraini fans.
His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and SCYS chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated the King and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on Bahrain’s triumph in the tournament.
Shaikh Nasser emphasised that the achievement reflects the support and patronage that Bahraini sport receives from His Majesty as well as his ongoing commitment to supporting Bahraini sport in all its forms and enhancing its status regionally and internationally towards further progress and prosperity.
Shaikh Nasser commended the efforts of Shaikh Khalid in providing the ideal conditions for Bahraini participation in this important Asian event.
Shaikh Nasser also congratulated the president and board of the Bahrain Volleyball Association, led by Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, for their dedication in supporting the national team during the Asian campaign. Shaikh Nasser commended the team’s spirit and determination, and extended congratulations to the players, technical and administrative staff, and Bahraini supporters.
Shaikh Khalid, meanwhile, congratulated His Majesty, HRH Prince Salman and Shaikh Nasser on Bahrain’s triumph.
He highlighted that the achievement is the result of the support and patronage of His Majesty, and is a testament to the prominent status Bahraini volleyball has attained on the continental stage.
