The Kuwaiti Criminal Court has sentenced a citizen to life in prison for growing marijuana in his apartment and trafficking it.
The citizen was caught in the act, possessing large quantities of the narcotic along with gold bars believed to be the proceeds from trafficking.
Forty-five marijuana plants were discovered in his apartment along with four kilogrammes ready for distribution and 37 kilogrammes of gold bars and precious metals.
