TENNIS – Bahrain possesses the financial and administrative resources necessary to become a major tennis hub in the region, according to International Tennis Federation (ITF) officials. Ways of enhancing cooperation between the BTF and ITF were discussed in a meeting held by BTF president Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al Khalifa with ITF representatives.
Also in attendance were BTF vice-president Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa and BTF board member Mohammed Al Sayed. The ITF officials praised Bahrain’s efforts in hosting a number of ITF tournaments across various age categories over the past several years. They also expressed their appreciation for Bahrain’s commitment to developing tennis and that hosting ITF events is also an opportunity to showcase all that the kingdom has to offer.
