Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the greatest footballers of all time, could play against one of two Bahraini clubs that are taking part in the Asian Champions League 2.
The Portuguese, who plays for Saudi giants Al Nassr, could be facing Muharraq or Al Khaldiya when the draw takes place on August 15.
Al Nassr failed to qualify for the Asian Champions League Elite last season, but they will make an appearance at the second-tier Asian tournament, which would mark Ronaldo’s first appearance in the tournament since he joined Al Nassr for the 2022-2023 season.
Ronaldo has played 111 games so far in all competitions for the Saudi team, scoring 99 goals but winning only one regional trophy two years ago. He recently extended his contract with Al Nassr for two more years.
