BASKETBALL – Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) vice-president Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received the kingdom’s youth basketball national team players and staff at the BOC headquarters in Seef to celebrate their title triumph in the 22nd U16 Arab Basketball Championship for Youth last week in Cairo, Egypt.
In attendance were BOC executive director of operations Ahmed Abdulghaffar and Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) vice-presidents Salman Hubail and Nader Al Awadhi.
Shaikh Isa congratulated the youth national team members on their historic, first-ever Arab title, and conveyed to them the greetings of Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Isa honoured them for their success and encouraged them to continue their efforts to represent the kingdom in the best possible way in future events.
