A mother and child died after their car was swept away during flash floods in the Saudi province of Al Qunfudhah.
The accident occurred on Saturday when the family, including both parents and three children, were attempting to navigate a low crossing that had been submerged by the floodwaters.
According to reports, the car slipped off the road and fell into the channel due to the heavy torrents.
The father managed to save two of the children, but the mother and the third child were pulled away by the heavy current.
Their bodies were recovered later, and the funeral prayers and burial of the victims were held on Sunday.
